This office tower lobby in San Francisco's financial district needed an update. The original wood panelling and limestone detailing had begun to wear, and look dated. By re-finishing the limestone, removing corbelled detailing, and installing a custom chandelier we were able to re-brand the tower to be high end, like it deserves.
The design of the twin custom chandeliers is meant to be a delicate, precise balance playing off of the already curved lobby walls. The LED powered anodized aluminum tubes have been cut away to outline a sphere, so to get the proper proportions I set up a 3d model that could be edited and rendered in real time. This allowed us to test an unlimited number of options for the number of tubes, their length, and the sphere silhouette.
